Oh the Places We'll Go. . .

Oh the Places We'll Go. . .

April is one of my favorite times of year. Here in the heart of Texas, wild flowers are blooming and the trees are budding and we have about 5 wonderful days of perfect spring weather before the dog days of summer hit! For many of you I imagine that April means the end of a long, cold winter, a time to get outside, dust off your gardening tools, or take a day trip to your local nudist club or resort.

Speaking of nudist resort, I can hardly wait to tell you about a recent visit I made to Mira Vista Resort in Tucson, Arizona (see Special Featured Resort).  I had the pleasure of staying for 5 days at Mira Vista during the AANR mid winter board of trustees meeting in March. And what a gem this desert oasis is. Gorgeous setting, fantastic sunrises and sunsets, fabulous amenities, year-round sunshine, I could go on and on… and I do, in this issues Featured Resort article!   I was so thrilled with my experience that I made reservations to go back in April with Tom for Mira Vista’s 2nd Annual Spring Arts festival to be held at the resort on April 12th and 13th.  Click here for the entire skinny on this wonderful, must see resort.

April’s Spotlight On Staff shines on Lee Wilkinson who heads up the Bare Necessities Massage Staff.  We met Lee about 16 years ago through his brother, Mark and wife, Crystal.  After serving two years as general cruise staff, Lee became a massage therapist and commandeered the position of massage staff team leader.  Those of you who know Lee, know that he is easy to love and once you have had one of his massages, well, they don’t call him “The Duke” for nothing!   Lee has been around the world and back with us and is one of those people we hate to set sail without!  Shine on Lee – we love you!

Our Hawaiian port of call feature is sure to be of interest to you.  If you are not already on board this cruise, it is not too late to reserve your cabin on this great 15-day adventure.  We have a super promotion price on the Concierge Class cabins.  Click here for more on pricing and cabinavailability on this cruise. Our February ’09 Reunion Cruise in the Caribbean is almost sold out, so act now if you want to be a part of the largest reunion of its kind with the finest people on Earth… all on a ship that invented fun… the Carnival cruise ship, Legend.

In closing, I want to say I haven’t forgotten about promising you a new cruise offering this month. Bare Necessities is still hard at work with a cruise line on the final itinerary and we don’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet.  So keep your shirt on (or not) and bare with us… it is going to be fabulous and I promise it will be well worth the wait.  Don’t miss the May 1st Friday E-News for our announcement.

Until then I wish you fair skies, calm seas and smooth sailing –

Naturally,
Nancy
