Oh the Places We'll Go. . .
Lee is a multi-faceted man of mystery and many know of him, but
few truly “know” him. When not onboard, Lee has a massage practice
in Santa Cruz, California and values his fierce independence and
unique, alternative lifestyle. A veteran of numerous Human
Awareness Institute workshops, Lee challenges himself and others
to be transparently honest and authentic. Often found enjoying
his morning coffee or indulging his inner nerd on the computer following
the stock market, Lee’s personality, goals and interests are as diverse
as the company he keeps. Busy making friends and creating community
in Santa Cruz, Lee enjoys weekly beach volleyball games, riding his
mountain or road bicycle and lounging with friends at a local nude
beach.
Lee’s first cruise with Bare Necessities was in February
of 1994 on the Crown Dynasty when he was lucky enough to secure a
place on the general staff as a replacement for his brother. After completing
massage certification in California a couple of years later and growing
his hair halfway down his back, (who remembers that?), Lee was added
to the popular massage staff in 1998 and then took on the role of
head massage therapist starting with the Millennium cruise. He
hasn’t missed a cruise since. A nudist since adolescence, loving
the art of massage and enjoying travel, this really is a dream job
for Lee. Grateful for and gratified by the wonderfully loving
friendships that have flourished through his connection with Bare
Necessities in the last 14 years, Lee says “I have developed a second
family through Bare Necessities and we get to have reunions in exotic
places around the world and it’s all clothing optional. How
lucky are we?”
